What a Friend Partner
”Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
1 John 3:18 ESV
As we live day to day working long hours, running errands, and accomplishing our agendas, how often do we stop to consider the needs of a co-worker, the disturbed countenance of a cashier, or give an ear to a friend?
If Christ Himself came to serve and not to be served, shouldn’t we too? What if we, wholly upon the grace of God, chose to put ourselves aside, and instead, represent the “hands” and “feet” of Jesus by obeying His commands in application to our daily correspondence with others?
Though not promised to be easy, this task shouldn’t sound like a chore, but rather, an honor that we can serve our heavenly Father and glorify HIS name. God doesn’t need our help, but how amazing is it to know in love, He chose us (those who are in Christ) in our weakness to accomplish the great commission of proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to the nations … and that “nation” is wherever you are!!! Church, let’s go out together in the grace of our Lord, with a smile on our face, and the Gospel on our lips!
As Christ is our friend, so be a friend…
